Texturing/Modelling 2

These are screenshots of my latest finished modelled and textured objects that are going in my environment.

Modelling the tree was a hard task for even though I followed the video guides. This was because i was working off these reference images below from google images of an oak tree and in general trees.

I wanted my tree for my environment to look chunky and big but with little leaves which is why my modelled tree does not look full with a leaves.
Nevertheless, I kept re-starting but I am happy with how my tree looks. 

 

When it came to texturing it, I experimented with combining similar textures such as the ones below to create an interesting look which worked, and then I experimented with changing the Layer mode between Hue, Multiply and etc.
 
When I applied the texture onto my tree, it appeared stretched which meant that I needed to shrink my texture and multiply it many times over each section of my UV texture image of the model.
After I did this, it looked much better and the tree texture had a better resolution. Those were the main bits I struggled with.
