Modelling my Vase

I considered what type of props to place in my environment that follows the theme of my backstory but also the theme of environment which is leaning on FEAR than DISGUST.

I have decided that vases and pillars are a good addition and I have already talked about how I modelled my pillars and the problems I discovered. The vases and pillars help emphasise the backstory to my environment because they were symbolic items used in the greek times.

I need to consider the size of my texture because the greek painting that I place on the texture will be going around the vase and I do not want it to appear stretched as it did on the Pillars.

I used these reference images from Google and the book I borrowed from the library 'Greek Gods & Heroes by Ann Birchall & P.E. Corbett.' This book has helped inform me about the Greek Mythology with enough information to continue designing my game level.

I finished texturing the last of my model which was my vase and I found it quite hard because I tried to make it look similar to the Google image above, however the texture would not stretch around the model properly and I did not have time to try many other ways. I did experiment with different sizes of the texture when applying it to the UV map but I stuck with the layout as seen above. It worked well enough to be put in environment, however if I had more time to work on it, I could have made it better.
I am happy though that I used an image from the book ''Greek Gods & Heroes''
