My Basic Iceland- UNITY

My experimentation creating an ice land. I could not get the ''snowflake'' texture in Unity to paint the terrain properly, it kept painting it in a black. So I went on google to search for snow textures which I then re-editted in Photoshop to create different shades to give it that blueish tone. This is in response to Animal Logic's Coca Cola advert. I found creating this ice land hard because I wanted to make the mountains shiny to give the ice a reflective effect. I shall look into that another time.

An image showing how I edited the colour, I played around with the  Filter>Offset menu and then the layer setting. I like the slight blueish shade added.

I added a smoke texture to act as an layer underneath the main snow texture, but I scrapped the idea because it did not work.

The lighting helped to make the iceland more attractive looking. I remembered when I did another island how to add the 'skybox' feature. This is done in the render settings, which is why in these images there is not sky. So I would say that there is a lot to work on from this but I have re-applied the skills taught in the studio. This is part of my brainstorming.
I would class this as AWE because of the high mountains as height can play a big part in it and also FEAR because imagining my character might be feeling that as he/she may not know what lurks over the mountains. I have also made the mountains pointy which can evoke FEAR rather than a smooth mountain top.
I should have also figured out how to add snow particles to set the scene more. However, I like the idea of water added as it helps fill out the space, though I should maybe consider whether it should be frozen to emphasize the weather situation.
