Game Art Machinima

For this module, we are asked to create a game with a 1 minute cut scene animation with some storytelling added to it.

We are working in groups for this project and my group is Dan and Sophie.
Our main roles are:
Munny: Modelling/Animation
Dan: Concept Artist/Texturer/Storyboard Artist
Sophie: Rigger/Animator

We were given 3 themes to choose from: SURVEILLANCE, CHALLENGE & GIFT
So far, we have considered GIFT and SURVEILLANCE.
Below I have posted the mind map for the theme SURVEILLANCE because that is the theme we are going with and was advised to pick one and start researching on it more broadly.

We have also created a schedule up until the INTERIM CRIT which outlines what each of us shall be doing and we will progressing in the project.

The idea that our group is going with is IDEA 3, which is where a girl is sent to collect a valued object for the greater good.

We are thinking that the audience for this game is around the age 9-14 years old, it is not violent or gruesome, so I do think that the rating could even be labelled universal. Since it is being geared towards that age group it means that we will need to attract them with the use of colours and sound to keep them engaged in the game.
